Jackson Alexander Bigby “Jack” brought sunshine into the world on May 4, 1999 to Alexis and Randall Bigby in Houston, Texas. As this bright child grew he excelled in Football - from flag football when he was just 6, to being Varsity Bulldog at La Porte High School. He loved to skateboard and snowboard, would always take a fishing trip with his Dad and brothers over anything else. He shared a love of motorcycles with his dad, mom and many others. He graduated La Porte High School in 2016. Jack moved on to San Jacinto College and filled in his off hours working at HEB and then at Saltgrass Steak House.

Jackson was happy and very active. He had more friends than we can count and was looking forward to moving on to Sam Houston State University in the fall. He was always singing, in the shower, in the car, at work, at school…. - might be old school rap from the 90s, might be country, might be an on point hit that just dropped - anywhere he could bring a little joy and a lot of noise.

He left all too soon on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Jackson leaves behind his mother, Alexis Lockhart and stepfather, Jeff (Bear) Joubert; his father, Randall Bigby; siblings, Brandon Grych, Riley Huebel, Zachary Bigby, Samuel Bigby, Lauren Brock and Sara Northwick. His grandparents, Anne Florian, Jim Lockhart and Joe and Lanette Joubert will miss him greatly.

Jackson’s grandparents, Bill (Papa) and Jo Ann (Grandmama) Bigby and his Uncle Jason Lockhart were waiting at Heaven’s door to greet him.

We celebrate his life on Monday, May 27, 2019. We will remember his spirit and joy for life.

My condolences to the Bigby family during this difficult time. In the Bible, Jehovah God gives us hope. Acts 24:15 says, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Revelation 21:4 says, “and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more.” Very soon we will see the fulfillment of these promises here on Earth. We hope you find comfort in God’s promises.

Jackson Alexander Bigby...I only ever called you that when you were on my nerves, and boy do you know how to push my buttons. I love that about you. You have the most beautiful and contagious smile, and you have a way of making me feel as happy as you. We met when we were 14 and freshmen in high school. From that moment, I knew I would love you. You are so special, you have the purest heart of gold and a spirit so wild and free nobody could tame it if they tried. Feeling your love is something indescribable. Your love is pure and selfless, you have a genuine concern for everybody and you don't stop asking questions until they're answered the way you want them to be. It is an honor to know you the way you let me know you. You have made such a big impact on everyone who has ever met you. Paulette and Anthony are so sad for your family. Mom has been crying since she heard. My heart aches for your loved ones, they love you as you love them. You have taught me very important life lessons. You taught me to never live life with regrets. Live how you want to live, and regret nothing. I know for a fact, if you could go back in time and change something, you wouldn't because you refuse to let yourself regret your decisions. I admire that about you. I've been crying for your sweet momma and dad. They've always been so welcoming and kind to me. I will cry for your siblings and the loss they feel. They love you SO much. You are still part of my family, I hope you know that. I know you know how much I love you because I've made sure to tell you as often as I could since we started speaking again. I would say my one regret, if anything, is the three years I lost with you. If I could change one thing it would be that. I wouldn't waste my time trying to be angry at you, sweet boy. I would use every single second I have ever had with you to my advantage. I wish I could hug you one more time, have one more Texans vs. Cowboys watch party at your house with you and pick on you when we beat yall. I'm sorry for the length of this, but you not being here made me realize I need to start speaking my whole mind before it is too late. I wish I could tell you everything I was holding back those three years, but I can't time travel - though that'd be pretty cool. I am so glad I got to see you on my mom's birthday, I wish I had known that would be the last time. I wish I could have one more movie date with you and my parents, and one more time to hang out with you and Marina. My final wish would be to see that big ole goofy smile of yours that melts everybody's hearts, just one more time and that would be enough. I could properly say goodbye. My heart aches for all of your extended family, who I know are in pain. I wish I could help everybody who is hurting, because I know that's what you would have done. You are the strongest person I have ever met. If anything, this has been a lesson. Never waste a day without love. I love you forever, Jack. You are, and always will be my absolute best friend. I have told you things that only you and I know, thank you for being my friend. I hope to see you again soon, but it could never be soon enough, sweetie. Ride on brother, I pray you're at peace.💜
