Obituary for Betty Sue Marchman

Betty Sue Marchman, born April 7, 1947, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.
She was lovingly known as ‘Betty Boop’ to her friends, but to all her many nieces and nephews, and their families, she was known as “Crazy Aunt Betty”. Betty was well known for her remembrance of birthdays. She seldom missed a family member’s birthday. We all knew we’d get at least one call on ‘our day’! She was a kind and giving person and will always be remembered with a smile.

Betty worked as a telemarketer for Purple Heart for over 19 years. During that time she made many friends, and created relationships leading to many frequent repeat donors. The community benefitted because of her dedication and kindness.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, David F. Marchman and Essie N. Renfro Marchman, sister Katy Graves, niece Cheryl Bush, and nephew Michael Flournoy. She leaves behind sisters Joyce Acosta of Pasadena TX, and Margaret Cain of Sunset, UT, nieces Lisa Knight (Phil) of La Porte TX, Robbie Bottorff of Pasadena TX, Cheri Lopez of Harlingen TX, Jeri Wiant (Steve) of Sunset UT, Sarah Bush of Tulsa OK, nephews Lewis Cain of Clinton UT, and Glenn Cain of Sunset UT, and numerous great-, and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the employees of The Courtyards at Pasadena for their care and the friendships they shared with Betty. She always felt at home and among friends while there.
