Obituary for Grant Lee "Ted" Norris

Grant Lee “Ted” Norris was born August 14, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Rollie and Ida (Rhodes) Norris. Ted passed unexpectedly on January 5, 2020 at home.

He grew up in Houston and graduated from Dobie High School in Pasadena, Texas. Ted served in the United States Air Force as a fuel specialist in Vietnam. He was quite proud that his granddaughter followed him into the military (even if it was Navy).

Ted met Mary Davis and married in May of 1983. The started their life together and moved forward raising children and enjoying life. Ted was a plant operator at Arco for 33 years. During his off time he loved to fish (and just being on the water in general) and hunt, enjoyed any good music (but mostly 70’s) and you could always count on him for a game of poker. He enjoyed playing at the lodge (Eagles 2752) and was a member there for many years.

Ted is survived by his wife, Mary. His children; Robert Norris (Elsa Davila), Richard Norris, Paul and Ann Crider and Melanie (Crider) Trabulsy and Daryll Simpson). The joys of older years is the presence of grandchildren and Ted claimed many: Marie and Joshua Crider; Holly, Heidi and Victoria Trabulsy; Samantha, Chey, JImmilee, David Lee Davila and great-grandchildren; Ivy Davila; Marie and Ayden Gonzales and Xavier Estraca. There are too many extended family and friends to mention, but all will miss him.
