Charles Patrick Hail “Pat” was born September 22, 1954 to Vera (Bradshaw) and Charles Phillip Hail. He was raised in La Porte and graduated from La Porte High School. Pat joined the Iron Worker Local Union 84. During his career he helped build the Houston area skyscrapers and Ports, working on projects all along the coast of Texas, many of the plants throughout the area and at NASA.
Through his life time Pat was involved in many activities. He loved motorcycles, especially his Ghost Rider limited edition Harley-Davidson. He enjoyed working with Hot Rods, was an avid hunter and fisherman. Family was very important to him as well as all his friends, many who he considered family. Pat was quite the pool shark and loved playing over the years while visiting several local spots like Hawk’s Place, Neon Moon or 2nd Chance. Just about anywhere he could spend time with friends.
We lost Pat on June 9, 2020, out on what was to be his last ride. He is preceded by his parents, Vera and Charles Hail; his brother, Elbert Thomas Hail “Tommy”, Woodrow Brian Scoggins and long-time companion, Wanda Spiller. Pat is survived by his son, Charles Patrick Hail Jr.; brother, Eddie Gerald Scoggins; best friend, Scott McCormick; Pat’s dog, Sparky and so many friends that will miss his great nature.
