Obituary for Jennifer Dlea Williams

Jennifer Dlea Williams, 46 yrs. old, was welcomed to this world in Lufkin, TX on November 17, 1974. She was raised in Pasadena, TX and Reno, NV. She attended Pasadena High School and Hug High School in Reno. She was completely not pleased going from the Screaming Eagles to the Hug High Hawks and being stuck with the green and white school colors of both! Jennifer worked for the Reno, NV office of Pinkerton Security in plain cloths, as a uniformed officer standing post and finally as a Patrol Officer with the rank of Sargent before moving on to other things. Jennifer’s restless soul eventually found its way back to Texas where she worked for the TDCJ as a Correctional Officer. Once her wanderlust stirred again, she attended truck driving school through Swift Transportation. She tried a few different companies where she could be home more often but found her way back to Swift where she excelled. She became a Driver Mentor, training many new drivers over the years. Jennifer is known for taking care of her students long after they were upgraded and moved on. Jennifer maintained contact with many of her students continuing to guide and many to become friends.

Jennifer had a love for life and for people; don’t think she ever met a stranger. Jennifer was known for helping others, even if it meant she would go without. If she knew someone was in need and she could help, you could bet she was on it. She had the biggest heart of anyone ever despite the tough appearance and “Truckers Tourette’s”, which she suffered from daily.

Jen had many things she was passionate about in life, reading, movies, and cruises among them. Although nothing can compare to her love of her daughter Eryn Brooke and her grandsons Madden Wesley and Logan William. They were her best friends and most treasured.

Jennifer used her past and her mistakes to better her tomorrows in a way rarely seen in this world. Although too short for our liking, she defined a life well lived.

Jennifer is preceded by her grandparents, Oren A. Alsbrooks and Marie Howel Alsbrooks Cheatham, her dad, Robert Forgy Sr. She is survived by her mother, Corliss Alsbrooks Forgy, her daughter, Eryn Brooke Forgy Saunders; her grandsons, Madden and Logan Saunders; her brothers, Steve Forgy and Larry Brewer; her sisters, Gemey K. Carter and Casey Ratliff. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; long time best friend, accomplice and soul mate, Jeri Elam. There are too many others to mention. The very last one at her side was Lady Zena Blue (ZZ), her husky puppy, who stayed until Jen was found.

Gone from this earth, but never from our hearts.
