Obituary for Hal Leon Holleman

Hal Leon Holleman was born on April 19, 1941, to VC & Doris Holleman in Dallas County, Texas. Hal passed away June 10, 2022, with his wife of almost 62 years holding his hand. His children were there also.

He married his high school sweetheart, Dianne, in June 1960 at Park Row Church of Christ in Arlington, Texas. He was a life long member of the church of Christ.

In the mid 60’s, after serving in the USAF, Hal moved from Arlington to Baytown to find employment in the oil drilling industry. We all know how often things change when you work in oil, he worked for many different companies during his career. He traveled the world including moving his family to Mexico City for a year. In the mid 80’s he took a break from oil to open his dream restaurant, The Hamburger Factory, in Baytown, Texas. The last years he worked for himself when he opened his rig inspection company, HLH Inspections, which was a perfect ending to his decades long career.

He was preceded in death by his parents, VC & Doris Holleman, his father in law and mother in law, Kester and Ernestine Stockton, who were his bonus parents.

Hal is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Dianne, his son, Scott, and his wife, Rhonda, of Deer Park, his daughter, Carrie Holleman Shamblin, and her husband, Dean, of Arlington, Texas. His grandchildren are Stephen Holleman of Houston, Quinn Holleman of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Alexa Holleman of Dallas, Texas.
